Welcome aboard, Ensign. To navigate the Kraken's Gate, you must understand CHORDS.

DEFINITION: A segment with endpoints ON THE CIRCLE.

NOTE: The Diameter is the longest possible chord. It passes through the center.

02. THE MATCH

Sonar works on symmetry.

RULE #1: Equal Chords = Equal Arcs.

If Chord AB = Chord CD, then Arc AB = Arc CD.

03. THE T-BONE

When a Radius hits a Chord at 90°, it splits it perfectly in half.

RULE #2: Radius ⊥ Chord = BISECTED.

"Bisect" means cut into two equal pieces.

04. TRIANGLE TRAP

This is the hardest part, Ensign. We use the Pythagorean Theorem to find lengths.
